Additives for plasterboard and blocks

  • Gypsum board production is a process in which hydrated gypsum powder (hemihydrate gypsum) is mixed with water and additives, then molded, set, and dried to revert to dihydrate gypsum, ultimately producing a building panel.
  • Unlike the continuous production of gypsum board, the core of gypsum block production lies in mold forming. It does not require facing paper; instead, blocks with tongue-and-groove joints are cast directly using high-precision metal molds. These blocks offer excellent sound insulation (due to their hollow structure), fire resistance (non-combustible), and humidity regulation capabilities.

Additives for cement grinding

Cement grinding involves grinding cement clinker, gypsum and various blending materials (such as fly ash and slag) together into an extremely fine powder.

  • Fineness control: Grinding the material to a specific surface area of approximately 300–400 m²/kg. The finer the particles, the faster the hydration reaction and the higher the early strength.
  • Component Blending: Uniformly blending the clinker with the retarder (gypsum) and strength-enhancing materials (blending materials).
  • Particle Size Distribution: Ideal grinding requires not only fineness but also a reasonable particle size distribution (the proportion of particles between 3 and 32 micrometres determines strength); otherwise, it may result in excessive water demand or insufficient later-stage strength.
